Keeping the tradition of British letterpress printing alive, Archivist designs and crafts luxury matchbox sets for aesthetic tabletop styling and thoughtful token gifting. Brits William and Mary found inspiration for their niche brand in the vintage prints they uncovered, deep within the design archives of London’s Natural History Museum. Archivist was launched in 1996, offering artist-designed matchboxes that capture the colour, heritage, and warm humour of those archived prints. Proudly sustainable, the brand constructs each matchbox from FSC-certified paper and wraps it in a home-compostable cello bag.
